Dear members of the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Indiana State FOP, and the esteemed public:

I humbly extend my heartfelt gratitude for the privilege and honor bestowed upon me to serve as the Presider at the funeral of Deputy John Durm. It is with deep reverence and respect that I stand alongside you during this solemn occasion as we come together to honor the life and service of a dedicated and courageous law enforcement officer.

Throughout the funeral service, we were able to witness the profound impact Deputy John Durm had on the community he served, his fellow officers, and his loved ones. His selflessness, commitment, and unwavering dedication to upholding the principles of justice and protection touched the lives of many.

As we bid farewell to our fallen brother, I am grateful for the collective strength and unity demonstrated by the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Indiana State FOP, and the public. Your unwavering support and expressions of love for Deputy John Durm's family and colleagues have been genuinely touching and comforting during these challenging times.

May the memory of Deputy John Durm remain etched in our hearts, serving as a beacon of inspiration and a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve in law enforcement.
